I can’t believe I waited to talk about this. For 3 weeks I’ve been using a new laptop. I purchased a new MacBook Pro 15″. It has a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, a 200GB SATA hard drive, 256MB of VRAM, and all the other stuff Macs have like Bluetooth, wireless, GB Ethernet, digital audio, dual layer DVD burner, etc. I got the glossy screen on this one. It’s really nice and fast. This one, unlike my 3.5 year old Powerbook G4 12″ has a webcam built in. It also have the magnetic power adapter. I can run Vista or XP on this too (don’t do it yet though.) It’s just beautiful and so nice to use. It’s very sturdy too.
I guess I could look around the Starbucks here and feel “superior”. But, I don’t. I feel sorry for the folks who are using their clunky Dells and HPs running XP. They just don’t know what they are missing. Sad really. My machine runs MS Office, Firefox, Skype, Yahoo Messenger, iTunes, Acrobat Reader and more. Just like a PC. But, I also have built in apps like iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Garageband and the iWork suite which makes my MacBook become fun and useful, for work and play.
Yeah, it’s more money, and worth every penny.
